Have you ever really watched the Zapruder film ? Your answer  may be " of course , who of us has not watched the most studied short piece of film footage in our country's history "?

Although you would be answering honestly that you have watched it you may be incorrect in the assumption that you actually " watched it " ( like a hawk ) . What do I mean ? Well first lets go into a bit of the history for those who may not know the basics facts that are involved with this subject matter .

Firstly the facts of the Zapruder film footage and the man who captured the  assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy in Dallas Texas on November 22 , 1963 .

Abraham Zapruder was born into a Russian Jewish Family in the city of Kovel located in the Ukraine . ( At that time still under the control of the Russian Empire ). In 1920 during the turmoil of the " Russian Civil War " he emigrated to the United States and settled in Brooklyn New York . In 1941 he moved to Dallas Texas to work in the garment industry where he co-founded a clothing company named " Nardis ". In 1959 he founded his own company that produced ( at the time ) two well known womens dress and clothing lines . His office was located in the " Dal - Tex " ( Dallas Textile ) building which was located directly east of and right across the street from the " Texas School Book Depository " where Lee Harvey Oswald was said to have fired the shots that killed the 35th President of the United States .

Testimony given throughout by Zapruder :

1.) That after the shooting occurred he went back to his office in the Dal-Tex building . To which he was stated he was visited some 45 minutes to an hour afterwards by Federal Secret Service Agent Forest Sorrells . ( What's not so commonly known is that Zapruder had stated in an earlier comment that he was visited by Federal Agent Sorrells more along the time frame of 15 to 20 minutes after he arrived back at his office .) A " immediate inconsistency " and a huge difference in time .

2.) That he recently had purchased the camera that he captured the assassination with . So recent in fact that he believed that the " original film " that came with the camera when he bought it was still in the camera . Odd in a sense .

3.) That after realizing that he may have captured critical evidence he agreed to turn the footage over to Federal Agent Sorrells . Whom Zapruder exclaimed " was not interested in obtaining the original footage but was perfectly happy to have a copy ." Another oddity .

( FACT ) :

Zapruder had entrusted what was the ONLY KNOWN - " UNTAMPERED " copy of evidence in existence on the entire planet to another person . That  " another person " being  one of only two people who had complete and total authority over all matters concerning the President's " security details " for the pre-planned visit to Dallas .
