The engraved title page of the Uranometria features an architectural motif with the full title in the center .On pedastals to either side stand two figures . On the left side stands Ptolemy . And the engraving on the pedastal on which he stands reads : " Atlas the earliest teacher of astronomy ." On the right stands Hercules . And the engraving on the pedastal on which he stands reads : " Hercules the earliest student of astonomy ." Across the top of the page are several additional figures . In the upper left corner is Apollo . Top center is Eternity with a crown of stars and two lions on leashes . In the upper right corner is Diana with a cape of stars . Beneath the title banner is a figure of Capricorn . And beneath that a view of Augsburg .

When we here at the Radical Corner decided to put together these pages for the " Full Uranometria " I decided I wanted to make it the best I could by including all the constellations . A hard task to do in itself for one guy . But then sometime later I ran into what is known as the " overview " diagrams and I knew if I took to adding these in as well that it would be impossible to get this project done all by myself . But folks I am a glutton for punishment when it comes to bringing you something that is rarely found elsewhere online . In this collection you will see there are two versions of each constellation ( an original and a clean ) along with the following corresponding overview . All photos have been cleaned up and trimmed so as to bring the closest possible view without clipping away any chart numbers or deteriorating in any way the clarity of information contained within the document . ( Note : That each constellation name will " ALWAYS " appear at the top of each photo .)
